Expanding Your Horizons
We provide exciting outdoor adventures which inspire our guests to "expand their horizons" and become enthralled with the Great Lakes, Northern Michigan, and its communities.
We are an “Eco-Adventure” enterprise which employs sustainable tourism practices by involving local businesses and communities, thereby benefiting all. Our adventures include the history, geology, wildlife and fauna of the areas traveled.
Our home base of rustic Indian River, Michigan, is ideally situated on:
- The North Central State Recreational Trail consisting of a 62 mile rail to trail bike/hike path from Gaylord to Mackinaw City.
- The famous Inland Waterway, a 38 mile chain of rivers and lakes cutting across Northern Lower Michigan from Petoskey to Lake Huron.
- The 105,000 acre Pigeon River Country State Forest, and the 80 mile High Country Pathway which encompasses the beautiful Pigeon River and Pigeon River Valley.
- The gateway to the Great Waters region of Michigan where Lakes Michigan, Huron, and Superior meet. This Great Lakes inland shoreline extends from Munising to Sault Ste. Marie on Lake Superior, the Les Cheneaux Islands and the communities of Cedarville, Hessel, St Ignace and Mackinac Island on Lake Huron to Manistique on Lake Michigan.
We offer a great mix of day or overnight adventures for you to enjoy at all skill levels with any combination of mountain biking, flatwater kayaking, and trail hiking. We offer fully-supported custom adventures or do it on your own with limited support. It’s your adventure! Do it the way you want it.
